The Michigan Wolverines defeated the Illinois Fighting Illini 42-25 yesterday in Champaign. The Wolverines are now 5-1 on the season and 3-1 in Big Ten Play.

Things started very well for the Wolverines as they went up 28-0 at the end of the half with the scoring coming from 4 different players. One of the players that performed well on the day is Hassan Haskins who scored one of the touchdowns in the first half. The other three players that scored were Nick Eubanks, Zach Charbonett and Luke Schoonmaker.

Things started to change in the third quarter as Illinois took over the game and scored 25 unanswered points to make it a three-point game in the 4th quarter. Which caused some concern for the Wolverines.

The Wolverines came back in the 4th quarter and scored two touchdowns to get the 42-25 win over the Illinois Fighting Illini to go 5-1 on the season. It wasn’t pretty but they got it done.
