ARCA: Mason Mitchell Motorsports Ceases Operations Effective Immediately

 

 

On July 30th, 2018 Mason Mitchell Motorsports announced that they will be shutting down operations effective immediately after five years of running in the ARCA Racing Series. The team ran for five years including winning a championship with Mason Mitchell in 2014.

 

 “I would like to thank all of our fans, sponsors, drivers, past and present employees for your support and hard work over the years,” Owner Mason Mitchell said in a statement.  “We accomplished a lot in one of the most well-known national touring series in the country. I appreciate all of the friendships over the last five years. This isn’t a goodbye, more so a see you later.”

 

2015 ARCA Series Champion, Grant Enfinger, competed with Mason Mitchell during his time in the ARCA Racing Series. He even ran for them earlier this season at the Toledo Speedway in Toledo, Ohio. “I had a lot of fun racing against Mason Mitchell Motorsports in the ARCA Racing Series and even raced for them once earlier this year in Toledo,” Enfinger said.  “It’s a shame that they had to shut down. They were a competitive team with a lot of good people over there,” Enfinger continued.

 

The team earned seven victories during their time in the ARCA Racing Series. Mason Mitchell took three wins and also scored wins with Justin Haley, Austin Wayne Self and Gus Dean. The team also earned six pole positions, the 2014 & 2015 S&S Volvo Laps completed award, Fast Track Award in 2014, The General Tire SuperSpeedway challenge in 2014 and the R.E Lighting Challenge in 2014.

 

Among the drivers that competed for MMM this season were Max Tullman, Grant Enfinger, Mason Mitchell, Colby Howard, Ryan Repko, Quin Houff and Blaine Perkins. The team finished 21st in their last ARCA race at Pocono. The team had 7 top 10 finishes in the 14 races so far this year.

 

The Next ARCA Race is August 19th at Springfield.
