It was another great day of Golf at the Farmers Insurance Open as we have a new leader at the top of the board. Ryan Palmer has a two-stroke lead over Brandt Snedeker.
Ryan Palmer shot an even 72 in his round yesterday but in the second round on the north course, he had a ten stroke improvement from Yesterday as he shot a 10 under 62. He had 11 birdies and 1 bogey which was one stroke shy of tieing the course record. Palmer is seeking his first PGA Tour win since last year’s Zurich Classic.
Brandt Snedeker is a two time champion of the Farmers Insurance Open and had a pretty good second round as he shot a -5 under 67 to be two shots off the lead. Snedeker has only missed two cuts at the Farmers Insurance Open and is looking for his first win since the 2018 Wyndham Championship.
It was a pretty good day for Tiger Woods but it didn’t start off that way. After he doubled bogeyed the first hole, he had 5 birdies and 2 bogeys and ended up shooting a -1 under 71. He had three straight birdies on the eighth hole through the tenth hole. Woods has 8 wins in a 72 hole tournament when trailing by six shots after a 36 hole round, three of those came in the Farmers Insurance Open.
Many notable players missed the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open including 3 time Farmers Insurance Open winner Phil Mickelson missed the cut as well as defending champion Justin Rose. Also, Rickie Fowler missed the cut as well.
