Michigan Women’s Lacrosse Big Ten Tournament Preview

For the first time, the Michigan Women’s Lacrosse Team is heading to the Big Ten Tournament at Johns Hopkins. They are the number three seed in the tournament and will take on Northwestern in the first round at 7:30 PM.

Michigan Women’s Lacrosse is in its sixth season.  They have majorly improved in those six years. Michigan went from a 7-10 record last year to a 15-2 record this year and also started the season winning the first 13 games and going undefeated at home for the first time in program history.

Michigan is led by their coach Hannah Nielsen who is only in her second season in Ann Arbor. The team is led by some key seniors including goaltender Mira Shane who has a .502 save percentage as well as making 115 saves in the regular season.

Leading the offensive attack for the Wolverines is sophomore Caitlin Muir who has 32 goals on the season for the Wolverines. Junior Lilly Grass has 28 goals and 18 assists on the season. Senior Adriana Pendino leads the team with 37 goals.

The game is on at 7:30 PM and can be seen on the Big Ten Network.
