Michigan Baseball is heading to the College World Series Final

For the first time since 1962, the Michigan Baseball Team is heading to the College World Series Final as they defeat the Texas Tech Red Raiders 15-3 today in Omaha.

Early on in the game, a total of 9 runs were scored between Michigan and Texas Tech. With Texas Tech scoring three runs in the top of the second inning. It was the only 3 runs that Red Raiders scored in the game.

Michigan scored a total of 7 runs in the first 4 innings in the game against the Red Raiders. Which helped because it wasn’t the best day for Karl Kauffman. Kauffman gave up 6 hits and 3 runs but after that, he was his old dominant self. Jeff Criswell came in after a solid six innings of work for Kauffman. Criswell had 6 strikeouts on the day. Kauffman’s record overall

It was a day to remember for Jimmy Kerr as he did his Dad and Grandfather proud by going 4 for 6 on the day including two home runs on the day. Jimmy’s Father Derek and Grandfather John both played for Michigan and made it to the College World Series and ended up winning the title.

Michigan will play the Winner of Vanderbilt/Louisville on Monday
