Plymouth Boys Soccer Preview

Earlier this week, Great Lakes Post’s, Casey Campbell, spoke with Plymouth Boys Soccer Coach Glenn Liguori.  Liguori is in his first season with the Wildcats Boys Soccer Team.

How ready are you to start this season?

Liguori: Every season is a new challenge, and this one is no different. This is my first season as the Varsity Head Coach.  I was the JV Head Coach the previous three seasons and had been assisting Varsity in different facets for the last 8 seasons.  I have 8 returning Varsity players as we graduated 12 Seniors last year.

Who are some of your top returners this year?

Liguori: Luke Winters (Center Back; committed to Univ. of Detroit Mercy); Kyle Pahl (Holding Mid); Eddie White (Forward); Jack Reed (Goalkeeper)

How do you think The KLAA will fair in soccer?

Liguori: The KLAA West is quite possibly the most challenging conference in all of Michigan. Cliche or not, every game is a battle and only prepares the top teams for their District and to make a long run in the tournament.

What is your outlook on this season?

Liguori: The season is a short one, and the Wildcats will be looking to improve on the ten ties experienced in 2018. We always look forward to the on-campus rivalries with Canton and Salem, which is already shaping up to be four great games.
