Trenton Football Player Profile: Angelo Czarnecki

This is a special season for Trenton’s Angelo Czarnecki as it is his senior year playing Trojan Football and says that the season is going well after a big win against Dearborn Edsel Ford. “The season is going good so far,” Czarnecki said. “Our offense is looking pretty solid, a lot of young kids have to fill in for spots we lost from graduated seniors. The defense is young as well, but with focus. Kids are picking up our schemes fairly quick. Our next test, South Lyon, is a very good football team. We will see how we respond to a good football team and who can catch, run, and hit,” Czarnecki continued.

Czarnecki will be playing football with his younger brother Joe for the first time in a while. Their Dad, Bob, is the head coach of the Trojans Football Team. Angelo says playing with his little brother is something he has been waiting for a while to do. “It’s a dream come true. We haven’t played together since the 4th grade. It’s great to be out there with him on my side. It is amazing playing with my blood brother, but to a certain extent all these kids I’m playing with are my brothers,” Czarnecki stated.

Czarnecki is a wide receiver for Trenton and enjoys playing the position a lot. “I love it. I’ve played receiver since I was a young kid. I love catching the ball and running with it. The open field is where I’m best. That’s where I am most of the time at receiver,” Czarnecki mentioned.

Football has taught Czernecki a lot he says. He would not know what he would do it without it. “It taught me everything. The way I live life, my work ethic, and that every rep matters. Every lesson I learn in football can be useful in life as well. Football is huge in my family, and it’s the best sport in the world hands down. I love it!” he exclaimed.

Czarnecki will miss a lot of things about high school football, but overall he will miss the game he loves so much. “Winning and losing isn’t everything in high school football. Your attitude is everything. I will miss the feeling of running out on the field before games knowing everyone in Trenton is here supporting us. It’s the greatest feeling ever,” Czarnecki added.

Trenton will not have a home game for the entire month of September as they embark on a four-game road schedule with five out of there next six games will be on the road. The first game of the road trip starts this week at South Lyon.
