Indy Lights: Askew Looking for a Big Weekend at Road America

Oliver Askew is having a superb season in Indy Lights this year coming off a win in the Freedom 100 at Indianapolis. Askew said he didn’t have a lot of time to celebrate but said it’s time to move on to Road America. “As we head into Road America, this track plays an important part in the championship with it being the half-way point of the season. The team and I want to build off of the momentum that we have come off of our Freedom 100 victory in May.  “We look forward to putting a show for the fans around such a picturesque circuit,” Askew said.

Askew is ready to compete here at Road America, and even though he has not tested at the track, Askew feels confident heading into this week’s race. “I have not tested at Road America this year, so I have been doing a lot of homework with my engineer.  We are looking for continued success at Road America,” Askew commented.

Askew currently leads in the Indy Lights Points Standings this season and has three wins on the season. The wins came at the two races in COTA plus the Freedom 100.  Askew has an 11 point lead on second place Rinus Veekay so look for this battle to continue as the season goes on.
